The POWER TO CHANGE
wHAT IS THE POWER TO CHANGE?
‘Power to Change’ is a women only programme run specifically for survivors of domestic abuse and is based on the idea that women working together in a safe, friendly and non-judgemental environment can change their lives for the better. The formal programme is a psycho-educational group, which runs weekly for 2 hours over a period of 10 – 12 weeks. There is a maximum of 12 women per group.
The Main Aims of the Support Group:

To change patterns of behaviour learned by women within abusive relationships.

To raise awareness of women’s basic rights

To build self-esteem, self-determination and empowerment.
