Title: Refuge Worker (DVA – Domestic Violence and Abuse)
Place of Work: Salford
Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week
Salary/Scale: £27,803 (NJC Local Authority Pay Scale point 18)
Benefits: A generous package including 30 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, extra holidays for long service. Employee pension scheme with employer contribution (on completion of a 3-month period).

About the role
We are looking to appoint experienced, domestic violence advocates/refuge workers to provide high quality advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse. Your role will include working with women who have experienced domestic abuse, you will help women and children to overcome the impact of domestic abuse by offering practical and emotional support while staying in the refuge. The successful candidates will have significant proven experience and practical support to survivors of domestic violence, you will understand the legal system and how it relates to survivors of domestic violence
